STUDENT EXAM GUIDELINES
by Annabelle Lazar - Monday, 12 December 2011, 10:05 AM

1. When a student is too ill to write an exam, their parents must phone the school to inform the office of the situation. When the student returns to school, they must bring a Doctor’s Note to the office explaining their illness. (A cost for the Doctor’s Note may be incurred.) A time to make up the exam will need to be arranged between the student and Mr. Anderson.

2. Students must be ready to move into the exam room at least 30 minutes before their exam. This means students will need to be at school approximately 45 minutes before their exam is to be written.

· 7:45AM for 8:30AM exams

· 10:15AM for 11:00AM exams

· 12:15PM for 1:00PM exams

3. Students must be on time for their exams. Any student more than 30 minutes late for an exam will not be allowed to write the exam.

4. Grade 8 and 9 exams last for 1.5 hours. Students must remain in the exam room for at least one hour.

5. Grade 10, 11 and 12 exams last for 2 hours. Students must remain in the exam room for at least one hour.

6. Students with special exam requirements who need to write an exam in a quiet location must get a request form from room 106 (LAC), fill it out properly and submit it to Mrs. Kidd before January 13th, 2012.

7. Students with two exams scheduled at the same time must go to the office immediately and complete an Exam Conflict Sheet.

8. Students must be in full uniform in order to write exams.

9. Students must come prepared to write, bringing with them, all of the needed supplies. Electronic communication devices are not allowed in the exam room. They must be stored in student lockers. Student caught in the exam room with these devices, will receive a ‘0’ for the exam. All calculators must be in compliance with Ministry of Education requirements.

10. Students must write their exam in such a way that the teachers do not suspect cheating. Wandering eyes, whispering or other suspicious activities may result in a ‘0’ for the exam.
